Who we are

Chess is often played quickly; across a board, against a clock, on a screen. Correspondence chess is different.

A move is considered, written by hand, and slipped into the mail. A week passes. A reply arrives. The board remains set.

The game slows. Anticipation builds.

The Correspondence Chess Company designs and prints tools for the long game: assembled sets to begin a private match, scorebooks to log each round, and move cards to carry the exchange.

Time is set aside between obligations. Pieces are moved on an actual board. Pen to paper. A stamp affixed. A ritual takes shape. What unfolds is not only a contest, but a conversation between two players at separate tables over time.

The company began as a correspondence game between a father and son.

Play the long game.
